Mentorship Team
Our Mentorship Team is for anyone who wants to act like a big brother or sister to a group of young people who desperately need people to talk to or to just show consistency to them. Youth Mentors must commit to one shift per week from 5pm-9:15pm, have a valid police check with vulnerable sector screening, and be comfortable in a highly social role. This is a great opportunity for students looking for placement opportunities for their post-secondary study requirements, for young professionals seeking to gain experience working with high-risk populations, and for anyone looking to give back to their community.
Program Support Team
Our Program Support Team is the quiet force that helps to make sure the youth have everything they need, even if it’s not in a front line role. Activities for Program Support Volunteers can include meal preparation, organizing the food and clothing bank, and other hands-on tasks. This role does not require a rigid schedule, and is a great fit for anyone who just wants to help out. There are a wide variety of skills accepted. This role has engaged people with developmental delays to people with Master’s degrees.
